Veterans IT Career Jumpstart

Trocaire College and Foundation 214, Inc are partnering to offer Veterans an IT Career Jumpstart Program! This application is free. Applications will be reviewed first come, first served.

Foundation 214, Inc is a family-funded foundation engaging in serving Veterans of the US Military, children, and elderly in healthcare and education within the eight counties of Western New York.

The Veterans IT Career Jump Start Program is an instructor-led, classroom based program, and is designed to prepare Veterans for new career opportunities in Information Technology. No prior IT experience is required. This 200-hour, 12 week program covers three areas: basic internet security, foundational IT concepts and terminology, and in-depth training in the skills necessary for a help desk or tech support position. Each of the three areas lead to internationally recognized IT certifications. Students who earn certifications may apply to convert certifications for up to 11 college credits in Trocaire’s Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity program.

Trocaire instructors provide coaching and guidance to prepare you for the certification exams with the goal of having you earn the CertNexus CyberSafe, CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ and CompTIA A+ certification exams. Earning the A+ certification validates the equivalent of 9 to 12 months of hands-on experience in the lab or field in a help desk, service technician or IT support front-line capacity.

Students will receive as participants of the program:
