IT Career Jump Start Program

IT Career Jump Start Plus Program

The IT Career Jump Start Plus Program is an instructor-led program, designed to prepare participants for new career opportunities in Information Technology. No prior IT experience is required! This 224-hour, 15-week program covers three areas: basic internet security, foundational IT concepts and terminology, and in-depth training in the skills necessary for a help desk or tech support position. Each of the three areas leads to internationally recognized IT certifications. Students who earn certifications may apply to convert certifications for up to 11 college credits in Trocaire’s Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity program. Students will also take the IT Career Exploration Program to learn more about the IT field and various career opportunities within the IT Field.

This program is held online and onsite. Weekly assignments will be posted on the Trocaire College Learning Management System. Onsite classes will be held at the Tech Academy.

Trocaire instructors provide coaching and guidance to prepare you for the certification exams with the goal of having you earn the CertNexus CyberSafe, CompTIA Tech+, and CompTIA A+ certification exams. The A+ certification is the equivalent to 9-12 months of hands-on experience in a Help Desk, Service Technician, or other IT Support role.

Students will also receive the Work-Readiness Skills training offered in partnership with 716 Ministries.

Qualified Applicants may receive funding.

Students will receive as part of their program fees:
