Presidential Search
Trocaire College has launched the search for it’s next President. As a Catholic institution rooted in the Mercy tradition, Trocaire is dedicated to educational excellence through exceptional teaching, compassionate service, and a steadfast commitment to the Common Good. The College prepares graduates to make meaningful contributions to their families, professions, and communities, fostering a more just, compassionate, and hopeful future. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the President will provide mission-centered, faith-informed leadership to advance Trocaire’s strategic vision while ensuring the College’s mission and long-term vitality through collaboration, innovation, and deep engagement with the campus and community stakeholders.
Search Firm and Committee
The national search effort will be led by Board of Trustees Member Preston Lewellen with the support of a search advisory committee comprised of trustees, faculty, staff, alumni, , Sisters of Mercy and community representatives. Trocaire College has extended our partnership with DSG Storbeck, a leading academic executive search firm, to assist the search committee in its important work. The DSG team was engaged in the last Presidential search that brought Dr. Bassam Deeb to the Institution in 2012. The search will be led by Dr. Christopher Lee, Managing Director, Beth McCarthy, Managing Associate, and Mark Halligan, Senior Associate.

Search Timeline
The search went live Monday, August 10, 2026 and will continue through the fall semester. The advisory committee will conduct their work over the next couple of months with review and screening of prospective candidates. Campus constituents will be invited to engage in finalists visits to campus later in the fall semester. Periodic updates will be provided by the search chair and will be included in the link below.
