According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data, more than 682,800 new IT jobs will be added over the next decade with a median annual salary of $97,430. The employment rate for Computer and Information technology occupations is projected to grow 15% from 2021 to 2031, much faster than the average for all occupations.

Trocaire was one of 12 organizations recognized by CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the global technology industry, during its 2020 Partner Summit. More than 1,500 people from 70-plus countries participated in the online event.

CompTIA’s Innovation Award recognizes partners for their response to the pandemic and their commitment to continue to train to CompTIA courses and certification as they prepared students for careers in information technology (IT). Click here for the full press release.

Locally, Trocaire was recognized as a 2022 Business Partner and Community Partners of the Year by Goodwill Industries of WNY. In collaboration with Goodwill, Trocaire provides onsite IT training for Goodskills Career Builder Program participants. The IT training they receive transforms into workforce readiness skills that benefit the student’s professional and personal lives. Additionally two instructors in Trocaire’s Workforce Development Department were nominated in the 2022 InfoTech WNY BETAS Buffalo in the categories: Woman in Tech and Rising Star. InfoTech WNY is a rapidly growing consortium of multi-sized software, hardware, telecommunications companies, government and economic agencies, and educational institutions.
