IT Career Reboot Program (Online)
The IT Career Reboot Program is designed for someone with little to no experience in Information Technology, and helps you earn the knowledge, skills and abilities to start a new career in a high-demand field. As you progress through the 36 week program, you have the opportunity to earn multiple certifications which validate your skills to an employer. Students who earn certifications may apply to convert certifications for up to 27 college credits in Trocaire’s Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity program.
The first 12 week session of the 36-week program is designed to (1) dispel the preconceived notions that you have to be a computer whiz or a math guru to start a new career in IT, and (2) prepare you for an entry-level help desk/tech support position.
The second 12 week session builds on session 1 as you explore operating systems and cloud technologies along with a significant focus on networking. Skills and certifications earned here will prepare you for a network support or network administration position.
The third and final 12 week session teaches you server operations, Linux and the foundations of computer security. Skills and certifications earned here will validate to an employer that you are ready to enter the fastest-growing field in IT: Cybersecurity.
Qualified Applicants may receive funding to cover the program cost of $19,974 from New York State.
