Veterans Engagement
Trocaire College was one of the first colleges in Western New York to provide tuition assistance to our returning Iraqi and Afghanistan veterans in appreciation for their service to our country. We are proud to have all our veterans and military dependents as students here at Trocaire College and we look forward to serving each of them as they continue their academic and professional goals.
Trocaire works diligently to keep Veterans engaged to completion. Some of the resources we offer include:
Student Veteran Lounge
The student veteran lounge, room 215 on the main campus, is a room set up for Trocaire veteran students and Honors students. The lounge includes comfortable seating, an area for studying, two computer stations equipped with Zoom to connect overseas, a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig with coffee and tea, and more. The lounge is a place to be a home away from home. Student veterans who wish to use this lounge may contact the Coordinator of Student Life.
Student Veteran Association
The Trocaire Veterans Student Association (VSA) serves as a source of knowledge, support, representation, and camaraderie to all military veterans students. Students who currently serve or formerly served in the armed forces are welcome to join. are interested in joining or connecting for resources can email the Coordinator of Student Life or the Veterans’ Association Advisor, Jamie White (whitej@trocaire.edu).
Recognition of Service
Veteran students receive specific cords at Trocaire’s Commencement Ceremony, along with recognition of service as they cross the stage.
School Certifying Official
