Brewing Programs Launch in October
Following a brief break, Trocaire’s Brewing, Distilling, and Fermentation Program is back at it, offering two courses this fall for those looking to learn about the science of beer and get more involved in Buffalo’s booming craft beer scene.
All classes are held at Trocaire’s Transit Extension Center (6681 Transit Road Williamsville, NY 14221).
Intro to Brewing
This 9-week course provides a foundation for students interested in pursuing the program. Topics include historical aspects of the industries of brewing and distilling along with ingredients, equipment and process requirements.
Cost: $495
When: Tuesdays from Oct. 8-Dec. 3, 6-9:30 p.m.
Sensory Evaluation of Beer
In this 9-week course, students will develop sensory skills and learn terminology typically used in the alcohol beverage industry. The Blichmann TopTier Modular Brewing system and professional grade fermentation equipment will be utilized in Trocaire’s brewing lab.
