Surgical Technology Program Achieves 100 Percent Certification Exam Pass Rate
Trocaire College’s Surgical Technology program is celebrating a 100 percent pass rate for students who sat for their certification exam in 2019.
Fourteen Surgical Technology students took the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam last year, and 13 passed on their first attempt. The one remaining student passed on their second attempt. This leaves the College with a 92.85 percent first-time pass rate, and a 100 percent overall pass rate for 2019.
“Trocaire’s five-year CST pass rate trends remain between 90-100 percent, exceeding both local and national rates,” said Dr. Linda Kerwin ‘07, dean of Allied Health and Professions and director of the Surgical Technology program. “Our Surgical Technology faculty work diligently year after year preparing students to be successful on the exam. I commend both them and the students for all of their hard work and dedication in pursuit of this vital professional achievement.”
Trocaire’s Surgical Technology program is still enrolling for the Spring 2020 semester, which begins Jan. 21. Visit Trocaire.edu/visit to learn more and get started.
