Buffalo Niagara Partnership President to Speak at Spring 2019 Commencement


Dottie Gallagher, president and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, has been named speaker at Trocaire’s Spring 2019 Commencement on Wednesday, May 15. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo’s Center for the Arts.

The Partnership is the area’s regional chamber of commerce and privately funded economic development organization. Partnership members employ more than a quarter of a million people in the Buffalo Niagara region.

Prior this position, Dottie was president and CEO of Visit Buffalo Niagara, the region’s tourism promotion bureau. She also spent nearly 15 years with The Buffalo News and served as a member of its executive management team.

Dottie currently serves on the board of Buffalo Urban Development Corp, Erie County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA), Visit Buffalo Niagara, Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority, Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, Invest Buffalo Niagara, Unshackle Upstate, the University at Buffalo School of Management Dean’s Advisory Council, AAA of Western and Central New York, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Lipsey Architecture Center.

She received her undergraduate degree from Towson University and her MBA from the University at Buffalo.
