Trocaire seeks Deputy Chief Financial Officer
Financial Expert Needed
This position will assist the Vice President of Finance on all financial affairs including investments, accounting and budgeting, plus governance of facilities. The role will have visibility across the College from the President’s Council to students. Work will include quarterly statements, annual budgeting and forecasting, and semi-annual statement of activities.

Essential Job Functions:
- Assist VP Finance with Direction of All Financial Affairs (Investments, Accounting, and Budgets, Facilities)
- Analyze Quarterly Statement of Financial/Departmental/Program Activities-Key Performance Indicators
- Provides Semi-annual Statement of Activities Variance Analysis
- Create Annual Budget, Forecast and Associated Departmental Variance Analysis
- Ad-hoc Performance Reports
- Present semi-annual Financial Reports to Finance Committee
- IPEDS Report (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System), prepare annually
- FISAP Report (Fiscal Operations report and Application to Participate in the Federal Perkins Loan, FSEOG and Federal Work Study Programs) Annual Preparation
- Maintain/Create Reports with Internal Reporting Software-Management Reporter
- Assist Director of Accounting with Monthly Close as Needed and Student Information System
- Reporting and Analysis of Tuition Revenue and Student Accounts
- Reconciliation of Financial accounts as Needed
- Oversight of Procurement Related Activity and Accounts Payable
- Oversight of Capital Spend and Related Accounting

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience
- Proficient in Data Analysis and Correlation to Accounting
- Experienced in Data Reporting Tools
- Strong Interpersonal Communication with Management/Staff/Board Finance Comm.
- Team and Goal Oriented
- Previous supervisory experience
The College was founded in 1958 by the Sisters of Mercy. In 1965 the College admitted laywomen and in 1972 enrolled its first male students. Two years later, the College was renamed Trocaire. The College is located in Buffalo, New York, and offers associate and bachelor’s degree programs, as well as one-year certificate programs, and workforce development training in healthcare, business, hospitality, and technology. The College is home to the oldest, private Associate Degree in Nursing program in western New York. Trocaire has an extension site in Williamsville, New York and the total enrollment across both locations is approximately 1,300 students.
