Trocaire to Celebrate Mercy Week Sept. 24-28

Catholic Education Employees Events Five Critical Concerns Mercy Values Sisters of Mercy Students

Mercy Week 2018 is here, and Trocaire is celebrating its heritage and the values of our founding Sisters of Mercy with a whole slate of activities from Sept. 24-28.

 

 

The week culminates with an exclusive tour of the Mercy Center on Friday, Sept. 28.

“Within the red brick building across the street, i.e. Mercy Center, lies the history of the Sisters of Mercy who founded Trocaire College,” explains Sister Marian Mullen, RSM, who serves as the coordinator of Trocaire’s Global Achievements Project. “This guided tour of the Mercy Center will be led by Sister Diane Swanson and include the original chapel and stained glass windows and the heritage room, which includes a painting commissioned by President Lincoln and artifacts with accounts of the Sisters of Mercy ministering to the people of Buffalo and the Philippine Islands.”
