At Trocaire, student safety and security is a priority. Maintaining a safe campus environment—and being prepared for unexpected situations —involves cooperation from the entire Trocaire community.

To help our students stay connected with our faculty, receive important campus news and immediately receive emergency updates, we offer several resources. We’ve compiled this list of ways to stay updated with the latest from Trocaire, and hope that these tools allow you to communicate with us as well.

1). Connect with MyTrocaire.

Students -The MyTrocaire website allows you to stay up-to-date on campus news, events, and access helpful student service resources, while providing easy access to the Student Portal, Blackboard LMS, and Trocaire email. Use MyTrocaire as your portal to access Trocaire platforms.

2). Emergency Notification System (ENS)

Are you ready for Campus Winter Weather Closings?

In an effort to improve emergency response procedures, Trocaire College uses a campus Emergency Notification System (ENS) which allows the sending of time-sensitive emergency notifications via voice mail, e-mail and text messaging. The Finalsite Alert system allows the College to reach the Trocaire community with information during unforeseen events or emergencies.  School closings due to inclement weather will also activate the notification system.  Your information is held with the strictest confidence – it will not be used for any other purpose.

The emergency notification system database contains the contact information you have provided to the college. We encourage you to keep your contact information up to date by following the instructions below.

Instructions

  1. Decide which phone number(s) and/or e-mails you want to use.
  2. Go to https://trocaire.portal.finalsiteconnect.com/ and sign-up or login.
  3. Create an Account – Sign Up:
    • If you have never signed up click the “Sign Me Up!” link.
    • Enter your First Name, Last Name, Trocaire email address, and Choose a Password, Confirm Password and Check the box to agree with the User Agreement.
    • Check the box to agree with the User Agreement after reviewing.
    • Select continue.
    • You will then be prompted for your ID number.
      1. Students – Enter your Student ID. This will be the full 11 characters starting with the letter A on your student ID card or records. You can find your Student ID by logging into the Student Portal  or by referring to your Student ID card (e.g. A0000012345).
      2. Faculty/staff – enter the last digits of your Employee ID (numbers after the zeros). For example, if your ID is S0000999999, you should enter “999999.” You can find your Employee ID by referring to your Trocaire Employee ID card.

4.  You can now set your contact preferences.

PLEASE NOTE: If you make a phone number or address change in the emergency notification system, also contact the following office so that the Trocaire database will be updated as well:

  • Students – fill out a change form in the Registrar’s Office
  • Faculty/Staff – contact the Human Resources, at 716.827.2461

In the ENS, you have the opportunity to include several phone numbers, email addresses, and a text message number as notification contacts. If you experience any technical difficulties, contact Blackboard Support@Trocaire.edu and include ENS in the subject line.

3). Stay Connected on Social Media!

We frequently post updates to Trocaire’s Facebook and Twitter account, and we do our best to communicate important news and information in real time.

You can also join student focused accounts such as the Trocaire College Student Life Facebook group.

Keep special Trocaire hashtags in mind for upcoming events–such as #Trocairepins at our pinning ceremony and #Trocairegrads at commencement.

We encourage you to friend us, follow us, subscribe to our Trailblazer blog, and remember—we want to hear from you, too!

Between our website, social media platforms and emergency system in place, we can assure you that all members of the Trocaire College community will be able to stay in touch, stay informed, and most importantly, stay safe.
