Biography

Dr. Linda Kerwin ’07, Ed.D., CST, RN, MA, MSN is Trocaire’s Dean of Health Professions, and also serves as director of the Surgical Technology program. A leader in both healthcare and higher education, she is frequently called upon for her expertise both in the field of surgery and educational assessment. Prior to her appointments at Trocaire, Linda worked as an advance practice nurse for more than 20 years in areas including the operating room, intensive care unit and emergency room.

One of her life-long passions has been working with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of WNY, in particular the recruitment of bone marrow and umbilical cord blood donors. To date, the National Marrow Donor Program has accrued thousands of donors based on her recruitment work.

Linda was named a 2017 Healthcare Champion by Buffalo Business First (page 3).

Dean of Health Professions
Trocaire College, Buffalo, NY, 2013-present

  • Supervises six academic programs housed in the Division, manages four Program Directors and approximately 60 clinical affiliate sites. Responsible for developing and maintaining budgets representing all programs and addressing issues of diversity within the college curriculum. Participates in enrollment initiatives, retention trends, graduate placement and learning outcomes. The Dean assists in the recruitment of senior administrators (Program Directors), academic faculty, staff and students.  Provides college-wide leadership for allied health credit and non-credit education and has responsibility for marketing, management, and assisting in curriculum design of educational programs that serve employers’, employees’ and student needs. Works closely with health industry partners to determine program development needs, to design innovative curricula meant to enhance employees’ skills and knowledge and comply with professional accreditation requirement
