In her own words:

“After spending a year in a Physical Therapy program, I decided this was not the career I wanted. I did know I wanted to be somewhere in healthcare. After some soul searching and college explorations, I found the RT program at Trocaire. I excitedly started the program and loved it.

The two years flew by and I landed my first full time job at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Buffalo. I was quickly moved from staff technologist to mammography and special procedures technologist. A few years later, I was training to perform ultrasound. Six years into my time at OLV, my husband and I welcomed our first child. Our hope was for me to work part time. The radiologist group who provided services at the Catholic Health hospitals, Southtowns Radiology Associates offered me a position at their private office in Hamburg. The timing was perfect. I continued to work part time as we welcomed four more children into our family. Eight years ago, I was asked to take the position of Office Manager. I have truly enjoyed growing with the business and watching my SRA family grow.

This leads me to what Trocaire College means to me. My career after graduating from Trocaire College has allowed me to have the best of both worlds. A great paying career that allowed me to work part time and  fulfill my need to give back to my community through healthcare and also be available to our children as they grew up. I am thankful my research when deciding to change colleges, led me to Trocaire.

As I now find myself in management, I welcome partnering with the RT and DMS programs at Trocaire College. I enjoy watching my staff as they lend a hand in the education of the Trocaire students during their clinical rotation in our offices. I find myself only hiring Trocaire graduates for the technologist positions because I know the level of education they receive and the standards they are held to.  This is evident time and again with each I have hired to  join our SRA family.”
