Honorable mention award presented by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District II
Website developed and powered by local communications agency 19 IDEAS
This week, Trocaire College announced it received an honorable mention from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District II. Awarded in the Website: Institutional Homepage category, the recognition acknowledges the college’s recently launched website, developed by Buffalo-based communications agency 19 IDEAS.
The website competed alongside higher-education institutions across North America and was evaluated on a number of criteria, including form, functionality and design.
“The new Trocaire.edu website was designed to serve as a crucial communication and marketing tool in the digital space,” said Trocaire College Director of Marketing and Public Relations Emily Burns Perryman. “A strong website and digital experience is a major component in successfully marketing to prospective students and providing current students with what they need to be successful.”
Highlighting Trocaire.edu is a unique “Choose Your Path” feature. Led by student testimonials, visitors select an area of study from an interactive grid of programs and opportunities – taking them on a semester-by-semester roadmap to a chosen degree. The personalized experience and guidance serve as an extension of the college’s refreshed brand and four key values: academics, careers, community and heritage.
“We are privileged to partner with Trocaire on a project that was critical to connecting both prospective and current students to the college’s premier programs,” said 19 IDEAS partner/President Katie Krawczyk. “Seeing the results of increased enrollment is a testament to the importance of a clear and direct user experience journey for your website, coupled with the right messaging, in order to gain desired results. Paired with a targeted digital marketing strategy to further connect prospective students to Trocaire’s offerings, and you have a winning combination.”
Other notable features include effective communication of academic program offerings and the college’s value proposition; an interactive and easy-to-navigate user experience; and feedback provided by key constituent groups, including alumni, current students, donors, faculty, staff and community partners integrated into the user experience of the site.
“We are pleased with the initial results and will be working hard to continue developing and adjusting the site to address our strategic plan goals and the needs of our students,” Perryman said.
“Congratulations to Trocaire College on this honor,” Krawczyk said. “The positive momentum of the new brand and website are a testament to the college’s mission to empower students towards success through education.”
19 IDEAS documented the intuitive development process for Trocaire.edu in a blog post that outlined expectations for the project.
Trocaire College and fellow award winners will be honored at CASE District II’s conference luncheon in Baltimore, at a private luncheon in February.
