We\u2019ll cover the basics, such as health records, academic advisement, college policies and financial assistance.<\/p>\n<p>This orientation is required for all first-time students who have not attended a college or university.\u00a0 It is an excellent opportunity to get off to a strong start and ensure your success at Trocaire College.\u00a0 Transfer students are welcome to attend but not required.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*** Please note that incoming first-time students need to have completed their Online Orientation before attending the in-person orientation ***<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"accordion-group-trocaire flex flex-col items-start w-full py-4 accordion-group-block align\" data-block_c22df1295f84e9c1830ae54e3be285d6>\n            <a href=\"#\" class=\"accordion-toggle w-full bg-trocaire-red flex items-center flex-row mt-4 p-3 font-bold\">\n        <div class=\"w-full pl-3 leading-8\">Step One: Complete Your New Student Orientation<\/div>\n        <i class=\"fas fa-angle-right text-2xl px-2 mt-1\"><\/i>\n      <\/a>\n      <div class=\"w-full pl-6 pr-12 px-2\">\n        <ul>\n<li>Complete the pre-registration New Student Orientation on <a href=\"https:\/\/trocaire.blackboard.com\/ultra\/course\">Blackboard.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Students can access Blackboard using Google Chrome, Safari, and Microsoft Edge to complete the mandatory New Student Orientation. <strong><em>Google Chrome is the preferred browser.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<b>Internet Explorer<\/b>\u00a0is not a compatible web browser. The event is mandatory for all first-time college students.&nbsp;First-Time College Student Orientation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 1:00-4:00pm at the Choate Campus. You will sign up to attend New Student Orientation through the Blackboard Online course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do I need to complete the online New Student Orientation?<\/strong>&nbsp;Yes, before a new student can register, they must complete the online orientation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How long does the online New Student Orientation take?&nbsp;<\/strong>Approximately 25-30 minutes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How long is the in-person Orientation?<\/strong> 3 hours long. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can I rewatch the orientation videos after I become a student?<\/strong> Yes!
