Dr. Linda Kerwin ’07, Ed.D., CST, RN, MA, MSN, dean of Trocaire College’s Division of Health Professions and director of the Surgical Technology program, was recently named a Healthcare Champion by Buffalo Business First.
Linda has been with Trocaire for 16 years and is a tireless advocate for her students and an outstanding educator. A healthcare professional for more than 20 years when she first started at the college, she had always gravitated to positions in that field and was hesitant at the idea of becoming an educator. However, that feeling didn’t last long.
“This uncertainty soon was exchanged with the realization that I was becoming part of something bigger than myself,” she explained in her Business First profile. “Accepting new challenges and responsibilities allowed me the opportunity to hone abilities that I didn’t even realize I had … It has been an endearing and captivating journey for me to help shape and mold the success of Trocaire’s graduates.”
Trocaire alumna Carrie Meyer ’95, executive director of the Independent Health Foundation, was also named one the list. Congratulations to Carrie as well!
