Biography

Debbie Shelvay returned to Trocaire College in 2015 after being in a similar role in the early to mid-1990s. Her career spans over 30 years and includes two of her favorite fields: education and healthcare. Debbie enjoys teaching and bringing her healthcare experience to the classroom. Her professional interests include instruction, curriculum design, medical coding, auditing, revenue cycle management, electronic health records and information systems. She also has an interest in anthropology and how it relates to history, medicine and forensics.

When away from the classroom, Debbie enjoys time with her family and four children (of the four-legged variety) at home or abroad. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching football. Go Bills!
