During her 20-year career, she has worked as a child psychiatric nurse and a Director of Nursing for different organizations, and she taught nursing for more than 12 years (in practical nursing, associate’s degree, and bachelor degree nursing programs). she has vast experiences with legal ethical issues in healthcare, psychiatric mental health nursing, workplace violence/safety and patient care.
Prior to taking the dean position at Trocaire College, Dr. Griswold attended the 2015 Academic Leadership Nursing Leadership Academy: Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. The academy goal was to: “Develop a faculty leadership model to help prepare academic leaders for leadership positions in the academe, in clinical practice, and in our nursing profession, and to recruit and retain quality faculty.”
