Dr. Amy Breski, assistant professor of psychology at Trocaire College, was recently recognized by alma mater Bryant & Stratton College for her professional work post-graduation. She received a Distinguished Alumni Award at a ceremony held at Buffalo Riverworks on Aug. 2.
Breski has taught psychology courses at Trocaire for almost six years. Since her 2000 graduation from Bryant & Stratton with an associate’s degree in paralegal studies, she has earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Human Services from Empire State College, a master’s degree in mental health counseling from St. Bonaventure University, and most recently a doctorate in psychology from Capella University.
The award from Bryant and Stratton celebrates her professional achievements, including her post-graduate degrees and faculty position at Trocaire; publications in Proquest and the Erie County Domestic Violence Training Manual for county law enforcement; professional memberships with the American Psychological Association and the Gerontological Society of America; clinical trainings in areas of study such as family, children and addictions psychology; and various community work.
