Dietetic Technicians are skilled to work in a variety of settings. With an A.A.S. in Dietetic Technology, you can work in health care settings, schools and other institutions, community health programs, food companies and the food industry, and more.
Trocaire’s Dietetic Technology curriculum combines the science of nutrition with the knowledge and skills of foodservice management.
Dietetic Technicians can work in…
–Health Care Settings such as hospitals and nursing homes, as part of the health care team gathering information from patients to develop a nutrition care plan to treat and prevent disease.
–Schools and Other Institutions managing employees, planning menus, purchasing and preparing food.
–Community Health Programs developing and teaching nutrition classes for the public.
–Food Companies and Industry overseeing foodservice operations and food safety, and providing nutrient analysis for products.
Trocaire awards financial aid in accordance with New York State and Federal Regulations. The majority of students at Trocaire receive some form of financial aid such as scholarships, grants, loans or employment. The two major sources are the Federal Pell Program and the State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).
