CPR/BLS for Health Care Providers
Fully Onsite Course
This course is for health care professionals covering adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (fa) and basic life support (BLS). The course addresses foreign body airway obstruction, automated external defibrillation (AED), special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

Blended Course
Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session. Students will be required to take the Heart Code BLS course through the American Heart Association prior to taking the hands-on skills through Trocaire. Upon Successful completion of the online lecture, the student MUST bring the completed proper certificate to the skills portion. (Note: Without the physical printed certificate of completion the student will NOT be permitted to the skills portion.

NYS Mandated Infection Control
Every licensed practical nurse, optometrist, physician, physician assistant, podiatrist, registered professional nurse, and specialist assistant practicing in New York State is required to receive training in infection control and barrier precautions. Trocaire College’s Workforce Development Department has been approved by New York State to be a provider for this course work, which is required by Chapter 786 of the laws of 1992.
