Trocaire College’s Workforce Development department is plunging into summer with three culinary offerings in June and July.
Two of the courses are part of the “Celebrity Chef” series featuring renowned local chefs sharing some of their cooking know-how, while the third is a multi-day culinary camp for children ages 9-12. All courses will take place in Trocaire’s state-of-the art teaching kitchen at its 6681 Transit Road location in Williamsville (located behind Russell’s Steaks Chops and More).
June 26, 6 p.m.: American Steakhouse 101
Explore culinary favorites with Chef Nick Coleman of Russell’s Steaks, Chops & More. This hands-on cooking class will walk participants through the preparation, cooking and, most importantly, tasting of popular dishes. July 10-13, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Culinary Camp for Kids
This fun and interactive camp for children ages 9-12 will explore different cooking topics, healthy eating choices and hands-on cooking instruction. The camp will culminate with a “Café Trocaire” experience, in which campers will show off what they’ve learned and prepare tasty treats for family members. Lunch is included each day. (Limited to 15 participants, cost is $80.)
July 17, 6 p.m.: A Night in Italy
Learn how to prepare classic Italian cuisine from one of Buffalo’s best.
