A recent graduate just made Trocaire history.
Alumna Natasha Allen ’07, ’18, RN, BSN—who graduated from Trocaire with her RN degree before returning to graduate with her BS, Nursing degree earlier this month—was awarded a Nursing Scholarship Award from the Professional Nurses Association of Western New York this past semester. She is the first Trocaire nursing student to receive this honor in the college’s 60-year history.
According to the organization’s website, scholarship recipients receive a monetary award and one-year, complimentary associate membership. “Recipients are students currently matriculated in an accredited school of nursing within the geographic boundaries of the Professional Nurses Association of WNY. Applicants must demonstrate scholastic and clinical ability as verified by a copy of transcripts and letters of recommendation from two members of the nursing facility.”
Natasha currently works as a nurse ambassador for IQVIA, providing one-on-one support, education, training and assessment for patients in the home and by telephone who are new to immunological treatment.
She will be honored at the Professional Nurses Association of WNY’s June 5th banquet at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens. Congratulations, Natasha!
