What is the First Day\u00ae<\/sup> Forward program?<\/strong>
Trocaire First Day Forward is a course material delivery model that simplifies your experience, lowers the cost of materials, and ensures students have access to all required course materials on or before the first day of class. Through this program, physical books are conveniently packaged and provided to students on a rental basis, while digital materials are available directly through Blackboard. With Trocaire First Day Forward, all of these materials are included with your tuition at no extra cost. At the end of the term, you will receive email reminders to return rented physical course materials to the bookstore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What materials are included?<\/strong>
The program provides all required textbooks, eTextbooks, lab manuals, and access codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What materials are excluded?<\/strong>
The program does not include consumable course supplies that cannot be returned and reused, such as lab goggles, dissection kits, molecular model kits, engineering kits, or nursing kits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I enroll in the program?<\/strong>
You will be automatically enrolled in the Trocaire First Day Forward program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student FAQs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Can I opt-out of the program? <\/strong>
Yes, you have the option to opt-out of the Trocaire First Day Forward program each semester during the opt-out window. Since the program is included in tuition, there is no financial benefit to opting out. By opting out, you will not receive your required materials in a convenient package and access to digital content will be removed after the opt-out window closes. Options for purchasing course materials after opting out can be found on the bookstore\u2019s website. To opt-out, please complete and submit the form below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I purchase my course materials if I decide to opt-out of the program?<\/strong>
Students will be responsible for purchasing their required course materials through the bookstore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can<\/strong> I opt-out if I picked up my textbooks? <\/strong>
Yes, you will have 48 hours to return your textbooks. If you do not return the textbooks, the charges for the bundle will remain on your student account and you will be subject to a replacement and non-return processing fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When are my textbook rentals due back to the bookstore?<\/strong>
The deadline to return all rental textbooks is the last day of final exams for the semester. You will receive reminders ahead of the rental deadline via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I buy my rented textbook?<\/strong>
Yes, the program provides you with the option to purchase any rental textbooks at a reduced rate during the semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do I need to return books if they are for a continuation course?<\/strong>
Yes, you will still be required to return continuation course textbooks. You will be issued the same title for the next semester of the continuation course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happens if I never verify my order? <\/strong>
You will receive email notifications from the bookstore reminding you to verify your order and choose your fulfillment preference. If you do not opt-out, your materials will be held at the bookstore through the last day of the add\/drop period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I never pick up my books, will I still get charged?<\/strong>
Yes, if you do not opt-out, physical materials will be held at the bookstore, digital materials will be available through Blackboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if I drop a class?<\/strong>
If course materials have been picked up or delivered for the dropped class, those materials should be returned to the bookstore within 48 hours. If you drop a class and enroll in a different class, the bookstore will \u201cswap\u201d the required course materials so that you have what you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
