AAS Associate Program
Division of Arts, Sciences and Professional Studies
People are an organization’s most valuable resource—no one knows that more than graduates of Trocaire’s Human Resource Management program. The AAS program prepares students for entry-level positions in the constantly changing field of human resources, exposing them to courses in business, information technology and communications along with human resources specialties such as employee and labor relations, recruitment and benefits and compensation. Possible positions include Human Resource Generalists, Human Resource Office Administrative Assistants, Recruiters, Compensation Assistants, Diversity Coordinators, Employee Relations Advisors or Work/Life Coordinators.
In addition, we have partnered with local organizations such as several chambers of commerce, Buffalo Niagara Human Resources Association and The Buffalo Niagara Partnership to provide hands-on experience. The internship component helps our students apply the concepts learned from their studies to real-world workplace situations. Human Resource Management students are also invited to become members of the Trocaire Student Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management, the largest professional organization for HR professionals.
