{"id":888,"date":"2019-10-30T16:01:42","date_gmt":"2019-10-30T16:01:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trocaire.edu\/about\/dianna-civello-is-trocaires-new-executive-director-of-advancement\/"},"modified":"2019-10-30T16:01:42","modified_gmt":"2019-10-30T16:01:42","slug":"dianna-civello-is-trocaires-new-executive-director-of-advancement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trocaire.edu\/about\/dianna-civello-is-trocaires-new-executive-director-of-advancement\/","title":{"rendered":"Dianna Civello is Trocaire\u2019s New Executive Director of Advancement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-16036\" src=\"https:\/\/trocaire.edu\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/08\/Dianna-Civello-744x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"324\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dianna Civello, a fundraising professional with more than 20 years of experience, is now at the helm of Trocaire College\u2019s advancement efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Trocaire\u2019s 2020 Strategic Plan notes the importance of the college\u2019s long-term sustainability through enhanced fundraising efforts and community partnerships. \u00a0In her role of executive director of advancement, Civello\u2019s responsibilities include the oversight and management of the college\u2019s fundraising team to expand community support and engage alumni and donors in fulfilling the college\u2019s promise of helping students build careers of achievement and lives of purpose.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAs an educator first and foremost, I believe that the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy to\u00a0\u2018meet the unmet need\u2019 aligns profoundly with my core values,\u201d Civello said. \u201cIt is an honor and a privilege to be a part of this thriving and nurturing community, and to help move it forward as the college\u2019s chief fundraising executive.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Civello\u2019s experience in the institutional advancement field includes 13 years executing multiple, successful fundraising initiatives in various roles at Canisius College, including director of development for major gifts, interim vice president for institutional advancement and associate vice president for advancement.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to that, Civello served as director of development at Buffalo Seminary for seven years, and taught Spanish at Nichols School.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe are fortunate to have Dianna on board guiding our efforts in advancement, fundraising and stewardship,\u201d said Trocaire President Bassam M.
